Women's Health Workout DVD : Train for your Body Type

Today I have been feeling out of sync with my body.
Everything feels very unbalanced.
If you are some one who is completely in-tuned with your body you'll understand what am talking about. I walked around the block several times to "shake off" the sense of uneasiness to no avail.
So I came back indoors to do a light work out hoping that I'll feel better
I love home DVD workouts. They are convenient and it feels like you have a personal trainer in your living room cheering you on. They are also good for guiding you through proper techniques so you don't get injured through bad form/posture. And sometimes, as much as you're motivated to workout at home, you need the company!

I also love that this dvd breaks down the workouts by body type. There are 3 types listed in the dvd and I usually click on the "Curvy"
option ^_^ . There is also an "athletic body" option but I feel like am between those 2 so my mood determines which workouts I will do. Since I wasn't feeling too well, I selected the curvy option. This has workouts for the whole week including a day of rest. It also includes an additional turbo charge routine if you're up for the challenge.
This DVD was produced in 2006 - 2007? Correct me if am wrong but it's still as practical today as it was back then. The beauty about exercising is that not much has changed about the founding principles such as the importance of cardio, weight training and stretching. Yes, health and wellness fads (diets, equipment, gears, classes), come and go but they are all the same fundamental basics that have been "repackaged" and "re-branded" for marketing purposes.

Edition: The only notable thing worth updating in this dvd is that we (society 2016) now acknowledges that there are several body shapes and people should not be categorized into a limited option .

I definitely felt better after my light workout and plan to start using it and other dvds in my collection for additional workout options.

An African City SEASON 2

God said ASK and you shalt receive

We whined. We begged. We summoned the spirits of our West African ancestors for Nana yaa's sake.

And the gods of our fore fathers have delivered.

AFRICAN CITY Season 2 is out . Here is the Link

Don't wait to pirate it online. Support your sisters and their production crews. Filming isn't free and neither should your entertainment be. Even you tube has wised up and has started promoting YouTube RED, a paid subscription. That's how Hulu started. When I was in college, Hulu was free! yo. But that was 7 years ago before our economy hit code blue.

It's only $20 and I know how much some of y'all spend on amazon or ebay or justfab or is it overstock.com?

Go watch it, so we can Giiiiiiiisssst! on twitter @mapetitenice

Hiking and Cross Country Skiing in New Hampshire

Now that am safely tucked in the comfort of my warm home,

✓  Comfy blankets
✓ Heat panels
✓  Fuzzy Socks
✓ Hot Chocolate Irish Coffee

Let's talk about my trip to New Hampshire's White Mountains region

I haven't slept in a bunk bed since I left boarding school in Cameroon 15 years ago

Winter time lodge chilling sounds cool until you feel the bitterness of the winter

A session on winter first Aid because SAFETY FIRST always

Nature is extraordinarily beautiful when covered in snow flakes

I learned a lot about myself on this trip.

#1. With the right winter gear, I can actually fall in love with winter/cold sports

#2. I'm tougher than I give myself credit

#3 But I'm also not as tough as I like to think I am...I know.. contradictory

#4 I am scared of intentionally falling . Being a soccer player/goalkeeper, I have no problem slide tackling or diving for a ball. BUT the mechanism of falling in cross country skiing is completely different. The idea of just letting myself go is terrifying. At least in soccer, sliding and diving has a purpose, a target. And to think last year I was zip lining through mexico's rain forest.

This was a great way to start the new year .Am looking forward to trying more new experiences food  especially if it involves testing my physical abilities.

Product Review : CVS Pharmacy Cold & Hot Sore Muscle Spray

Dupe for Icy Hot Pain Relieving Balm

To be honest, I haven't tried the icy hot version. I didn't feel the need to because this one works out well for me. I can't guarantee that you will have the same results .

Active Ingredients
□ 7.6% Menthol
□ 29.0% Methyl Salicylate

□ Pain relief therapy for arthritis, bruises, cramps, backache, muscle strains and sprains

How I used it
I was experiencing back pain which I traced back to wearing the wrong shoes. I was also dealing with sore muscles from over training. And in general, I was working a job which required standing for long hours.
I used the spray when I came home at the end of my day after a nice warm shower. It helped make the pain better for the next day. I will also take it to work and use periodically.
The effect was immediate. And just like the name, first it's cold then it becomes hot and the sensation spreads around the region.

Downside: It has a strong methyl scent and I dont feel like it resolves the pain for a long time. Yes I had pain and soreness but am not sure this will work for someone with excruciating symptoms.  You might need something stronger.
